• AMA University Officers attends PACUCOA 24th Annual General Assembly

    The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) held its 24th Annual General Assembly last December. 4, 2014, at Solaire Resort and Casino, ParaƱaque City.

    The gathering was attended by Engr. Josie G. Balon, Head, Quality Assurance & Accreditation, Engr. Alvin Mateo Rodriguez, School Administrator of AMAU, Mr. Allan Burgos – Dean of College of Computer Studies, Mary Jean M. Jayobo – Dean of College of Business and Accountancy and Ms. Dorothy M. Agnis – Dean of College of Arts and Sciences. Engr. Balon, Ms. Jayobo, and Mr. Allan Burgos are PACUCOA Accreditors.

    Dr. Patricia Licuanan, the Chairman of Commission on Higher Education graced the event by delivering the message of President Noynoy Aquino and was also the keynote speaker on that day. Dr Licuanan discussed the competitive advantage of ASEAN 2015 to ensure quality education in higher education in the Philippines.


    PACUCOA is an organization that is governed by high standards of excellence. AMA University believes that the best way to boost the standard of education is through voluntary Quality Assurance evaluation by PACUCOA, a prestigious accreditation body in the Philippines.

    Currently, AMA University has 4 accredited programs as of school year 2014 – 2015: BS in Computer Science - Level III , BS in Information Technology - Level III , BS in Business Administration Level II 2nd RA, and BS in Computer Engineering 1st RA. BS Mass Communication is under Candidacy Status.
